Rapunzel pls
Person A and B agree to wash each other's hair. They don’t realize that Person A is too tall for Person B to reach the top of their head, so Person
A picks up Person B, their legs wrapped around Person A’s wet naked body.
Jack isn't THAT tall but I was thinking the shower thing might still be fun, with all her hair and with him not wanting the water too hot. Thoughts? ]
Sounds good! If this doesn't suit, just tell me.
In fact, while Jack was trying to find what bath supplies they needed (Rapunzel, after all, had very specific needs), she tinkered with the handle that controlled the water flow. When he finally returned, she would probably still be doing something of the sort, letting her bare feet bathe in the "rain" right above the makeshift drain. The towel she had was still halfway wrapped around her body.]
Works for me! o7
He'd flown off to find soap and whatever else. He wasn't 100% sure what a shower would require, though, so when he came back, his free arm was full of about seven kinds of soap. He had three different cloths to wash with, to boot.
He landed at the edge, still not really near the water himself, and dropped them on the ground, not really carefully. ]
One of these should be good, right? I think one's for hair, and one's for...something else. That pink one smells like flowers.
[ He looked up from the soap, expectantly. It was good enough, right? ]
no subject
Jack! This shower thing-
[Er, or she could just watch him drop the soaps.]
No, no, that's fine, I'm pretty sure. [Even with all her hair, they should be covered.] We may have to use a lot of them, but you found- [She noticed a soap sliding away, so she stopped it with her foot. Or at least tried to.]- You found all the right things.
[Given she still had her towel and all her hair about her, she wasn't yet thinking about the full implications of a shower. Instead:]
What pink one where you talking about?
no subject
It was a good thing he didn't actually blush. ]
Huh? I was...oh. Oh, right, the pink one, okay. It's...
[ He looked down. A bottle was covering it, so he reached down and picked it up. It was a little bar, but it had made him think of her, because it smelled nice. And girls liked pink, right? He was pretty sure most girls liked pink. ]
This one!
[ He took a step closer and held it out to her. ]

To her credit, it was a very big and fluffy towel, much more modest than even some dresses. Rapunzel was comfortable enough (with her hair, she was never really underdressed) - and, of course, living in a tower with only your mother and a chameleon made your definition of strange a bit, er, strange. Plus, she had her frying pan if things started getting too weird or anyone came and tried anything unseemly.
And Jack...well. Their relationship...
Oh, soap!
She reached out to take it, then brought it to her face to give it a sniff. Apparently, it passed the test.]
Wow! I've made soap before, but I could never get mine to smell like this! [It really did smell like flowers, and the idea of a whole field of blooms made her smile.] I want to use this first!
[Oh. Actually using it. That made her realize something, and her expression fell.]
no subject
It just sounds kind of adorable okay idek. Can find another one if you prefer.

After a few long moments of Rapunzel being incredibly choosy about bristles and handles and all that, she brandishes a long, thin brush his way.]
Here, this one's perfect starting out!
no subject
[Because. Come on, as if Jack -needs- a paintbrush for his scribbles on frosted windows and the like. He's still not sure he is quite as enthusiastic about the idea as Rapunzel. He takes it, staring and examining the paintbrush.]
no subject
I've got plenty of them. Don't worry about it. [Her telling Jack not to worry about it...has the world flipped on its head. But she's too pleased with herself to notice this strange turn of events.] You'll like it, I promise. You can have so much control over it, make all kinds of little details, and - oh, hey, maybe you can even use paint!
[That'd be cool, huh? She's already got some paints set out, mostly because she's Rapunzel and she always does.
So she takes a tiny sidestep, looking over his shoulder before speaking:]
Go ahead. Give it a try!
no subject
[Right. Well....if she insists. He supposes he could perhaps at least have a little fun, dipping it slightly into the blue paint before turning around and eying her freckles so close up. And proceeds to start playing connect the dots with them.
Whether Rapunzel would be as amused with it is another story, of course.]
no subject
What are you doing?!
no subject
[Or. Wait, does she even know about those? It can be so hard to tell sometimes just how much she knows given her sheltered upbringing. He pauses for a moment at her question and pulling back though, waiting for her reaction and whether she wants to let him continue.]
no subject
I wanted you to paint, yeah, but this isn't what I had in mind.
[She wrinkles her nose at the slightly cool feeling of paint on skin, but as someone who paints, like, all the time, it's not new.
And as someone who paints all the time, she can't help but be curious.]
...anyway, what kind of picture would you make?
no subject
Well, I can't know that unless you want me to finish. Once the 'dots' are connected, then we might see if it creates a picture.
[Though usually by default Jack's art is more along the lines of decorative frost and scribbles on windows when he gets caught in the moment. Painting is not really his strong suit.]
no subject
Only not so rats, because a smile of her own forms slowly enough.]
Okay. But I bet there's something in there.
[And, at that idea, her eyes light up.]
And I want to try it out on you too!
no subject
[He answers as he carefully dabs more paint on another freckle at her nose.]
no subject
No, you totally have freckles. Like, right here!
[Ever since she's gotten used to human (well, "human") contact, her natural love for touching people has come out. It's easy to reach up and point to a spot on his face.
...yeah, but still.]
And I could do it free hand even if you didn't, you know.
no subject
Free hand?
[Yeah he doesn't have a lot of experience with paints and the like. He knows of painting and thinks some are pretty awesome and impressive, of course. But the terminology and such has never been something he has exactly looked into like Rapunzel would.]
no subject
Only not so rats, because a smile of her own forms slowly enough.]
Okay. But I bet there's something in there.
[And, at that idea, her eyes light up.]
And I want to try it out on you too!
no subject
[And he retaliates by dabbing at another freckle at her nose.]
...and that awkward moment when lazarus saved the wrong tag and you repeat it COME ON
Her eyes scan his face. Hmmm. What to do, what to do...
-wait, she's got it!]
I know!
[Her face lights up.
In turn, Jack gets a swift little line drawn under his eye.]
I've got the perfect idea, I swear. You'll love it!
oh that was it. pffft. it happens, no worries.
I would hope so.
no subject
You don't think I know what's great in art?
[Since she's begun to hang out with Jack, her sly side has begun to emerge quite nicely.
Like now.]
Besides, isn't part of the fun not being sure? I'm sure you know all about that.
no subject
[He shifts his hand to brush some of her hair back, both to clear her vision and give him better access without getting paint in her hair.]
This is true.
no subject
Of course I know what you like. I remember that for my friends, you know.
[All, like, two of them.
Still, she's curious.]
You like stars, don't you? Who doesn't?
no subject
no subject
Stars would look great. They'd match your eyes.
[Only Rapunzel would say something like that.]
no subject
[But. Sure. Whatever you say, Rapunzel. He's used to her quirks and apparently random quips like that.]
no subject
Even I know the sky's not black, not even at night. It's just a dark blue, you know!
[...are you pulling her leg?]
no subject
[May or may not just be teasing her and pulling her leg here as he goes to dab another of her freckles.]
no subject
I guess I can't see that much from my window -
[But that's kind of a depressing thought, so she'll do her best to shake it off and at least continue on her work.]
I just hope I get to see the night sky out in the open. And that it's blue. [Had to get that in before she goes back to dabbing her brush right under his eyes.] Soooo, stars it is, then.
no subject
[He shrugs. Almost managing a bit of an empathetic look for a brief moment before his usual default small smile comes back.]
I've told you I could take you. You just don't let me because of her.
[He tries again, though he knows she is probably not way to distracted with this star thing she is starting to paint on his face.]
no subject
I told you - I can't...not right now. I don't want to hurt her.
[Or get in trouble. Or get him in trouble.]
Anyway, we have lots of fun in here.
no subject
[Sometimes, he doubts she ever will really make it outside this tower. But he doesn't push it. Merely reminds her every so often that the offer tot take her outside is there.]
I guess that's one aspect I'm lucky in. I don't need to worry about what anyone else might think or want me to do.
